Music is a very good way of expressing what is on your mind
a lot of bands use it as a way to describe their inner selves
it shouldn't be completely thought of as a way of doing this though because many people think of it wrongly
for example
the music of Slayer is fast and aggressive but apparently kerry king is a very nice person.
Just a thought
does anyone else agree that music should be used more in this way?

I don't think people should judge an artist by the
initial sound of the music on the ears. There are a
lot of talented artists that go unrecognized because
people in general limit themselves when it comes
to what genres of music they'll listen to and what
music they'll hate before giving it a real listen.

Music doesn't have to be intellectual, sometimes. I think that current music is highly deprived of intellect, but believe that music can, at times, be just entertainment. As human beings, we need to be entertained just as badly as we need to be enlightened.

I absolutely love alot of music that is completely devoid of any semblance of intellect or personal expression

Not everything in life has to be enlightening, expressive, morally redeeming, or whatever good qualities you think music should have.

Human beings are creatures of balance, we need everything, and if we get too much of one thing or nothing of something else, we end up miserable.
