I heard maynard introduce this song as being about a cycle of abuse in yourself. I think it can be things i pick up from my parents in the way i act. Like being obnoxiously polite to the degree where i don't form intelligent conversations and just do my best to be nice. It fucking annoyed me when i realised i was doing it. It was before i heard or understood this song so it didn't have a great effect, but now it rings very true. I'm sure i have bigger cycles of abuse in myself that i haven't picked up, but i work on it.

So this song means alot when i listen to it.
