Worst fucking venue in New England! I hate that fucking place, but I still end up going back there. Of all the '01-'02 shows I saw, that was by far the worst one. I might not even go if I don't get a seat in the bowl. Not sure if I can take another night up on the lawn.

Id be surprised not to see a Ct. date show up. Im going to try to be at this one, but I wont be on the lawn thats for sure. Not even worth it for me at that point.

Do you think the setlists will be bigger than they currently are? Id think a few more, but they have songs that are so long, the lists might not get expanded by much is what im thinking.

they're scalpers... they pretty much know what they're getting before hand through hook-ups (radio djs, venue employees, etc.)... they're not actually out in people's hands already.

I'm not worried about not getting one for this show, unlike the Orpheum. I just hope I can grab a good one. Don't want to be stuck out on the lawn like I was in 2001.

They still haven't announced any New York dates yet. Are Mansfield and Camden the closest they'll get to New York? I mean I'm worried that I'll get Mansfield tickets and then New York dates will show up. I can't go to Camden as I'm not free that night.

So anything beyond Section 8 is not worth it?

I would love to see Tool in an opened area. Tweeter is a bad choice of a venue, but it's as close to outside as I feel I'm going to see them. I wouldn't mind a Tool campground concert or something along those lines. I think that would be great.

Umm, maybe, yeah...Every time I've ever been at that place I've never actually sat in my real seat and have always upgraded. When I saw KISS their on their farewell tour my dad and I had lawn seats and just jumped the fence and ran like bloody hell (not that im suggesting that) But if you flashed your ticket at security and kept walking past them they arn't going to do anything.

Please bear with me, I've never been to the Tweeter Center for a show before.... so from what I understand, if you get seats in "the bowl" then it is an assigned seat, otherwise lawn seats are basically general admission?

ive been to the tweeter center about .....say....100 times since 1992... security SUCKS!!!! be careful if you are under 21 and want to drink in the parking lot...THEY will take your alchohol!!!! pour it in a plastic cup!!! anyway..... assigned seating in ALL sections except the lawn....the lawn is general admission... i was at the 2001 show at tweeter ON THE LAWN..in the rain...and the show was AWESOME...people that are afraid of a little rain and the cold weather (boo-hoo) move from new england and save the tickets for REAL fans....rain or shine the show will be unbelievable.....unless you get sections 1-6... the lawn is the way to go...NO security and plenty of room(if you are a fatty like me).... HAVE A GREAT SHOW!!!!! fuck all the cry babies...stay home if you are gonna complain!!! btw ...the show was sold out and i scored tix at the venue for below face....so dont fret if ticketmaster blows AGAIN....there WILL be tix for short money the night of the show... peace

what is with the "reserved" seating for this venue, at livenation.com? (http://www.livenation.com/event/getEvent/eventId/243545) a friend of mine purchased reserved seats for 100 or so dollars a piece... does this mean when they go on sale tomorrow, the majority of the good seats will already be gone?

after the TM incident for Boston, i better get good seats for the show. i'm not worried about them selling out, i just don't want to be stuck on the lawn. i've never been to the tweeter center, possitive/negative experiances? good venue? ahh. good luck everyone, i hope you get good seats. i'll be back looking if i don't. ;)

once upon a time, i heard about this little idea regarding ticket sales. the idea was that even though there would still be a set amount of tickets total (kinda hard to avoid), that total would be split into batches, or whatever you want to call such a grouping of tickets, and every couple of weeks or something, up to the day of the show, the tickets would be sold _gradually_. it was kinda nice, really, because it meant that fans didn't have to scramble and race like a maddened herd of carnivorous beasts. that, and of course scalping wasn't quite such a problem...
not sure what happened to it, really. but hey, that's life, take it as it comes, blah blah blah.....
Heh, sorry if the whole thing just strikes me as wrong. ;)
on the other hand, here's hoping i'm wrong this time around, and they -do- sell by that method this time. didn't make that up, that is or was a pattern for ticket sales.

I considered doing that myself but I took what came up. Also, does anyone have an idea how many seats are in a row? I have seats 15 and 16 in sec 4 which should be alright. I'm just alittle concerned that I'll be too far to the side. Don't get me wrong, though, I'm grateful.

Seriously what the fuck is the point of Ticketmaster..I'm so heated right now. First click and I had tickets, I literally JUST SCANNED the seating chart pop up page to see where they were..then clicked to confirm the order..and Ticketmaster FUCKS up and says your order cannot be processed. I refuse to get seats anywhere other than the covered part, because whats the point? The sound is horrible unless your under the pavillion..even then its still not great.

Just an FYI. I saw Nine Inch Nails at the Tweeter last month. We had lawn seats and security came up to us (and everyone else on the lawn) and told us we could go and find empty seats anywhere in the open air seating if we wanted (which would be sections 9 thru 15). I saw Depeche Mode here years ago too and security did the same thing once the show began. Not sure if this show will sell out (many people dislike this venue) but if it doesn't, there's probably a good chance people can move up.

Just for anyone that dosn't know/cares. I talked to ticketmaster, and they said anyone with a Gold card got a pre-sale. The Tweeter center has a buisness deal with them.....bastards.

Alot of venues hold tickets til the day of the show. In Amherst, MA at the Mullins Center I went the day of and got great seats when the show almost sold out. It's all luck of the draw. But I dont REALLY understand what all the fuss is about Ticketmaster considering I've never personally had a problem *knocks on wood* and I've bought alot of tickets in the past 4 years or so.

I got section 4... but when I look at the seating chart it seems to me that I would like section 5 better since it is more to the center... so why do you only say 2-4? I'm happy with my tickets but is 4 really that good with it being off to the side? row N; seats 27-29, and there are 52 seats in that row so in the middle of the row and in the middle of the section pretty much

Since people are asking, where are my Section 8 Row J peeps? Holla...

Also, Dharma, did the gold card people get a Tool presale or did the rep just say that gold card people get presales for some things? Cause I tried to get Massive Attack tix at about 10:15 (also went onsale today) and it wouldn't let me without a gold card password. Damn, Ticketmaster really does blow.

My input about the Tweeter is that people just seem to suck all around once they walk in there. Maybe it's the size of the place, the openess--that it's outside. I've been to tons of shows here and I always seem to get into an argument with someone. Maybe it's because everyone's always drunk. Don't get me wrong, I drink too. Not at shows but whatever. I don't really know. You usually have about a 99% chance of getting stepped on, spilled on, fallen on, tripped over. haha. Yeah, there's just too many people around for me. I like the intimate venues better. People tend to be more respectful. Like the Orpheum. What a great time. The fans that night were incredible. No complaints about that night--Perfection.

intimate shows are great, except i can't usually get tickets(tried hard with the orpheum, sold out in 10 seconds). i remember seeing sigur ros at the boston opera house (second best show i've ever been to after tool) and it was so intimate and amazing. then i saw them at the bank of america pavillion, it was raining and really cold, still amazing, would have been fine if my friend's boyfriend would stop complaining about the cold every 5 minutes, but definitely not the same experience.

as for people at concerts, i think the biggest thing that gets me is people complaining. especially at general admission shows where everyone is crowded together in front of the band, like tool at the tsongas arena in lowell. people complaining about being uncomfortable or getting shit spilled on you, or getting kicked in the head by crowd surfers. YOU ARE AT A CONCERT, enjoy the entire experience. if you don't want all that you can go sit around in the seated areas, but don't go up front and not expect the things that come with being up front.

this place is seated so hopefully that won't be an issue.

Quick questions to those of you who got tickets...Compared to the last small venue tour a few months ago, how easy was it to get these tickets?...And how did you go about getting them (ticketmaster, call up the venue, etc.)?...I'm getting tickets tomorrow for the Camden show, so I'm wondering how much preparation I need for tomorrow...Thanks!

<3 Armando

The Orpheum sold out in seconds. For these bigger venues, only general seating showed up in a couple of hours. Your best bet would either 1.) Get on the Ticketmaster website, and continously refresh the page until they go on sale. 2.) Have a friend do the same thing, you have a better chance of getting good seats. 3.) If you come up with something really shitty the first time around, throw them back and try again. 4.) Have all your credit card information ready, so when you get to it, the page won't time out. 5.) Try calling the box office at the same time. Alot of people who went to the Orpheum got good tickets that way. 6.) Find a place that sells them, and stand in line. So, 1-5 or 5&6. Good luck.

Thanks phaedrus. Seems like the best bet for tickets is just waiting in line at a Ticketmaster outlet. I was # 2 in line for the Orpheum show and got 6th row.

I tried ordering tickets at 10 this morning, only to come to battle with my network and not get any at all. For some reason it doesn't let me purchase things when it feels like it. oh well. I'm not paying a ridiculous amount like for the Orpheum, so I hope everyone has a great time.

So many other factors are involved, like how fast the TM clerk is, whether someone in front of you pays with credit, and also the number of tickets you're buying. I only needed 2 tickets and I think that helped with getting the closer seats. Many of the people I was in line with bought the max of 8 and all those people buying 8 tickets at a time only just pushes the available seats further away faster for everyone in line behind them. Maybe a 4 or 6 ticket limit would have better results.

I don't know the details my friend. All the woman said was that the Tweeter center has some kind of deal with "whoever", and people with a "gold card" get the bonus of presales for certain events.

And I really hope the "gold card" isn't for AAA, because I have one of those, and it would really be a kick in the nuts if missed out on that, just cause I never knew.

hahah i'm pretty sure the presale had nothing to do with one's automotive repair status. i'm pretty sure the gold card is something to do with live nation or some other bs

I was fortunate enough to get Section 3 Row GG. Mind you I tried to get tiks exactly at 10am and was only able to get one ticket. I hope that my view isnt goin to be that bad, and if it is I will attempt to make my way towards the front. You'll be able to stand pretty much anywhere you want - especially once the show starts. And it helps that you're already in the first 3 sections since you won't have to get past security AT ALL...I'm in section 4 and definitely plan on upgrading.

lol if I see you guys I'll stop and say hi and since you'll both be drunk you'll be honest with me if you put anything in the PB & J, haha.

I've found that going to the last show of tours is better. The first show of tours most bands seem rusty. Although if it's been a REALLY long tour the band can tire throughout. But still, I rather go to the last show.

You going with the Multi Grain Milton's bread on those PB&J's, if so I'm in.

I think these guys kick it a little harder the last night they're state side. I don't think it's a coincidence they've ended the last 2 US tours in MA either. You can feel the love at the shows.

Question is will more shows be added? ME, NH, RI, CT?

It's not entirely impossible, from the sounds of it, they're hitting Europe again though too. Boston's a pretty good launch for that trip. Maybe they add some dates in NYC? Maybe they head down to Georgia? Seeing as this show still has tix available, what's their incentive to add another in the area?

There's a pit, it's on the lawn about 100 yards away from the band.

Korn played with TooL for one of the shows I've seen here, I think it was one of the Ozzfests. A quarter of the lawn broke out into a massive pit for the Korn set, it was pretty humerous. I saw some people come out that had gotten absolutely destroyed by the railing.

I've got a question I was hoping one of you kind souls could help me out with. Unfortunately, I was reduced to paying a testicle for 2 tix to this show through a ticket broker (seated tix were gone by the time I got out of work and I can't do another lawn show there - no offense to anyone that's on the lawn, though!) My question is two-fold...

On the back of one of my tix, on the right hand stub side, there's a disclaimer, in red, for the New York Yankees, along with the other legal goobledegook that you normally see on the back of tickets (liabilities, etc) - this isn't on my second ticket. Is this weird or what... having a disclaimer for a ballgame on the back of a concert ticket? Has anyone ever seen anything like this or had a similar experience? They both look like legitimate Ticketmaster tickets, otherwise.

Has anyone ever done business with Hallmark Tickets out of San Antonio Texas?

Hopefully, these tickets are legit (like I said, I spent a nut so they better be!) and I'll see you guys/gals . There I would have gone to the Manchester, NH show, but I got fucked up by them posting it as Machester, PA!

Ok people, someone has to need tickets. I'll do 35 bucks a piece, that's less than face value. Don't make me hawk them at the show in the rain. I'll bring them to you and meet you at the show with them.

PM me, it's getting close to show time.

great seats on ticketmaster section 6 row G.

It is typical for them to release good seats to sold out shows the day of the show.

i'm right on the verge of wasting my ticket for sec 8 row L seat 9; if you live at or near UMass Amherst, and would like to either come pick it up so you yourself can drive to the show (price of ticket negotiable if any, just tryna avoid waste), or if you're already going (from same area) and have a spare seat....
*feels stoopid*

can't believe i let this happen. *sigh*

on the offchance anyone reading this can respond in the affirmative either way, reach me at (339) 927-6447

WASTED. :(

i wish i were talking about being drunk and i don't even really like alcohol...

*sigh* seldom before have i truly felt as tho i've sinned.

i type this as TOOL works into their set; hopefully someone managed to sneak into my unoccupied seat, maybe from the "lawn" seating...

i must now begin a night of purification: delta^9-THC molecules will outnumber red blood cells in my circulatory system before my night ends (no LSD, Psilocybin, or other such on hand...).
this i swear upon my DVD copy of Salival and my Alex Grey-signed 10,000 Days CD case :P

Should still be fun (just not uplifting like a show); i have section 3 seating for Hartford on Thursday to look forward to anyways.

Namaste... :)
