I'm confused, it says that the only seats available are for the lawn, which is the farthest point from the stage and they cost $140 bucks according to a gotickets.com and tickco.com. I'm confused because it isn't even listed on ticketmaster yet and have the other sections sold out already? And why is it so expensive, I look at the San Antonio and Bakersfield shows and they are in the range of $25 - 50 dollars, or so it says.

This site lists that tickets will go on sale next Saturday on 7/22 at 10:00am. But I wont be completely comfortable until Ticketmaster lists the damn show!!

Ok I've been to a few shows at the sleeptrain amp. In the past all the shows had a pit in front of the stage that was general admission. The map for the event shows seats in that location is this the way it is now with seats in section 1,2 and 3?
http://www.ticketmaster.com/seatingchart/229440/14445

I got a ticket for section 1 row 13 seat 24 doesnt look like gen admission to me?

I'm hella gonna be at this show.

I'll be in section three, looks like I'll have pretty decent seats, though a little farther from the center than I'd like to be. Oh well, it's better than the fucking lawn.

To clarify the last response you got to this question, in case there was any confusion, Marysville is about an hour north of Sac, so the drive from SF would take about 2 1/2 hours.

I didnt even think of going to the box office, duh!Shit I could have saved myself some cash on all the convenience fees.
i got the one ticket in sec. 1 row 13 also two tickets in 105 row 7 all together $206.06 .Im really lookin foreward to this show Im so glad they didnt go to arco arena because it sucks.
The amphitheater is a 45 min drive but worth it to not have the shitty acoustics like arco.

So wait, are sections 1, 2, and 3 a pit or a seated area? Is it one of those things where they put seats in the pit that no one actually sits in? I've never been to this venue (I tend to avoid Marysville as much as possible) and I'm trying to figure out if I'm gonna be in a seat or in the pit or wtf.

PIT is a term to mean the section closest to the stage. Sometimes there is no seats this time there is. All its going to be is a bunch of folding chairs strapped together, 16 rows in each section, less seats in the 1st row then in the last. Also I bet we'll get a wrist band and are ticket punched to prevent stubbing down ( my favorite.) And the the sitting down thing I'd hope there passed out drunk or kicking it on the lawn it's Tool, go to church the next day if you want to sit down hehehehe that's what i think.

Yeah I sat down for the Oakland show about five minutes the whole show.As long as we are not moshing Its all good. The amp. is run by some type of religious nazi's at least when it comes to beer.Nice place but the staff is really uptight pricks.

I went to the first show at this place and it was STP if i remember right.Everyone ended up in the pit because people kept reusing the pit tickets over and over again. They gave you a braclet the first time then you could come and go and give or sell your stub to the next guy.I think they changed that about halfway thru the first season.

I don't know why this is so confusing. Have you ever seen tool before? I'm gonna be getting stoned prior to the show and I'd rather sit back and enjoy the performance as a whole than be in a huge crowd full of obnoxious fucking morons jumping all over the place. Maybe you enjoy that sort of thing, but I don't.

I've seen NIN a few times, and I'd hate to have a seat for one of their shows, but that's because Trent engages the people in the pit. With tool, they all basically just stand there and play the music. At a tool show, being close to the stage wouldn't actually do you all that much good. Being further back would give you a better view of the whole stage and all the artwork and everything.

My buddy got a bottle of whiskey in at the oakland show.It was down his pants, but they did take his cigarettes.

I need to know about this too. If the opening bands suck (have they announced who's opening yet?) then I'll probably just get high as fuck in my car before the show, and then go on right before tool comes on stage. But if anyone here has been to this place and smoked weed there before, then I'll just try to sneak some in.

I heard it's ISIS....Never heard of them so I looked them up and I wasn't impressed with what I heard, I'm not into screaming metal. I don't think TOOL needs an opening band!! I'll just be anxiously waiting for the first band to finish so the real show can start!

Doubtful, tickets went really fast. I have never been to tha amphitheatre in Marysville but at The Shoreline, if you are on the grass its kinda just blah if you were hoping to see some details on the stage like who is standing where. (We all know, but, if you didnt you wouldnt be able to tell). Definitely "big picture" seats.

Heres what you do: wear baggy pants and wrap up your weed good ( you don't crotch weed ) and place your baggy in the crotch, they can't search your crotch or your girl friends bra works just the same . Thats how I've gotten pictures and audio from other tool shows.

Either lay off the pot or get your act together. No, nobody is going to care, its an open air venue and people 3 seats in any direction probably wont be able to tell unless they are staring at you and not at the band. I have never, ever, ever been to a concert where there was trouble for pot smoking. The sketchiest thing for me has been at Santana at the Warfield during Samba Pati when everyone was sitting and being all chill and low key, me and a friend sparked a J, and we were the ONLY people doing it, it made me feel nervous as hell but nobody ever said a damn thing. So I can safely say that if after smoking pot at a Santana concert with a far diverse crowd in age and background than at a tool show it will be OK. Most people at tool shows have their third eyes open as opposed to other bands/shows, if you know what I mean.

Well time for this post to come back up. Saturday should be great, the weather is in the 90's in the day cooling to the 70's at night. Just wondering how many of us are doing both Saturday and Sunday? Should be a good contrast to see, outside venue Saturday ( no roof over the seated sections,) into the arena the next night.
After this weekend I hope I'm still sane.
