so i bought Salival for 26 bucks today...

i was at Streetlight Records today (on Bascom, if anyone lives in the bay area...) and i was browsing the vinyl section, and my girlfriend comes running up to me saying "hey look what i found!" and, well, it was SALIVAL! too bad it's the VHS version. oh well.

it's not the red tape version, or the one with all the production errors, but still, not bad.

I don't even remember where my salival cd/dvd came from. lol. It just showed up at my house and sat on the coffee table colecting dust for a rediculous amount of time before I realized what it was!!

It's nice to see someone so excited about finding Salival -- or really any rare music -- that they would go so far as to photograph themself and their girlfriend holding it. This thread reminded me why I got into bands like Tool in the first place. Thanks, hushypushy. I really got a kick out of this.

wait is Salival hard to find or something? my gf at the time bought it for me for ChrismaHanukkah so i never really went out looking for it...but i was sure i saw it just sitting at best buy many a time.

its out of print, and there were only 145,000 copies (correct me if I'm wrong) ever released

they were NOT rare back in the day. i remember going to Tower Records and they always had tons of em chilling on the shelves, DVD and VHS. then one day, they started to have less. and less and less, until they just ran out. i can't believe i never bought one...i wasn't really into buying CDs back then (unlike now).
