looking at all the albums now...
Opiate - this album focus's mainly on religion (for its better half)
Undertow - the focus is very cultural and landscape
AEnima // Salival - the focus of these albums is very sexual in nature
Lateralus - This album is very mathmatical
so there is religion, land, sex, maths... (all of these prominant to roman times) the last two tittles very latin based, the albums in general are all evalutions of each other, looking at tool under this light shows a very historical setting, although, I believe the music represents the artists growing older, maybe even dare I say it, looseing intereste, not with themselves, but there topics. All the albums are very prominiant in day to day life for a general human being. opiate, aenima and undertow are very basic, but lateralus takes the art a step further, mathmatics, education, learning is completeing the equation, what comes next... the ansew...
