well, i like to think that tool uses the bible as a metaphor for a lot of things. they see it, not as a religious tool, but as a way to prove how ridiculously we run our lives. first of all, so many people use a book to dictate how they decide things, how they live their lives, how they think about everything. how can one single ideal run your entire life? shouldnt you absorb many different ideals and then form one of your own? to me, eulogy is about how one person cannot run your life. that person might not have been completely true to themselves or their own ideals. if you let one person run your life, then you cannot say you are your own person...there's a lot of religious symbolism in tool videos, concerts, and songs...but all of it has such a true backing that one cannot completely throw it out.
