i will be the first to say that this song is one of the most lyrically magnificent and utterly powerful songs to be made by tool. and maynard threw his heart into writing the lyrics to this song...obvious to all. but today while i was listening to the song i focused on justin playing the bass in the background and i believed he did a great job for this song. i am no bassist therefore i have no credibility to say if he did a good job or not...but to the ears of nonbassist i have to say...bravo justin.

I totally agree. Justin's bass in this song is my favorite off of any Tool album (or any album, for that matter). It gives me goosebumps.

agreed.

I reccomend that everyone listen to this song without the vocals. Idk, it might actually sound better w/o nard - its a really tight jam... sick stuff.

everyone in this song has a unique part that hasn't really been heard before. The bass in this song is just sublime.
