i was a little surprised with the kangaroo court theory, but maybe that's because i'm an aussie. my interpretation of the kangaroo was a metaphor for people jumping up and down (the expression for making a scene, you know, like pointing things out or waving your finger...)

thoughts?

edit: perhaps i should elaborate a little into the context..

since the song is essentially about hypocracy, i interped a sort of mockery of people who point the finger, jump up and down and cause a scene about certain things (in this instance, drugs) and are hasty to embrace their government's war on drugs, condemning drug users as scum of society...

"'[you will] steal, borrow -> [just so that you may have your] reefer', [is what you will say to me, but please] save your shady inference" - maynard's narrative on one of these people's frame of mind, since (according to the US gov. anyway) drug users are criminals, scumbags, blacks, subsequently homeless, and probably need money to feed their addictions.

ganja police? puh-leeze? mm ganja...
