Okay, this whole 11 thing...

Its sorta starting to bug me so lets try to get all the info/opinion we have under one proverbial roof.. Of course when we finish i will be serving hot chocolate and carrot cake.

Ok first of all theres the whole 11 mins 11 seconds thing. Also the song is mostly in 11/8 time signature... What else is there??.. and just what the hell could it all mean??

Of course we have observed Maynards personal interests with the number 11 before (jimmy) but the subject matter seems to be completly different here.

I heard that maynard was infact "11" in the song Jimmy so maybe thats just it. He is the person in the song. Or atleast tahts how he thinks we think of him.

In Jimmy, 11 was brought fourth as a metaphor as well. Here, hence the lyrics, "...when 1 and 1 make one 11...", he is reffering to people meeting and making "one" or coming together again. So the meaning would be to try and get something to "come together" and represent itself by making itself "one". trying to bring together thoughts.." 1 and 1...one 11..." same idea....

Jimmy: "..11 is when we waved goodbye..." talking about 'we' as in together...as in both 1's join...

The idea is trying to assess all thoughts bringing them together and connecting to the "same" thing....1 and 1 are the same number...11 connects making it possible to represent the same number as two different things...
