Yes, it's Bill (Billy) McConnell doing the singing. McC was a former instructor at Tom Brown Jr.'s "Tracker School"--a wilderness survival school. He left the TS early this year. See: http://www.trackerschool.com/news_monthly_feb_06.asp

McC is also an expert in flint-knapping, and his last impact on pop culture was in connection with the film "The Hunted." Check out the Joe Kertzman blurb on http://p210.ezboard.com/fbenisangelsfrm13.showMessage?topicID=119.topic:

"The movie props include not only the Tracker Knife, but a flintknapped blade that the character Bonham uses in the course of tracking Hallam.
'The flint knife Tommy Lee used for the fight scenes has a 9-inch blade made out of stone chert [a compact rock consisting essentially of microcrystalline quartz],' Brown explains. 'It was made by one of my instructors, Billy McConnell, and, being smaller and lighter than the Tracker, it moves quicker for fighting and self-defense.'”

Oh, and I wouldn't recommend emailing the Tracker School: my friend tried that and got an abrupt form letter back.
