In the linear notes of Aenima, I noticed a tattoo of the MAD character on the alien's arm.. I must of looked through this cd over a thousand times, and I never noticed that before.

Check it out:

I guess Demons like naughty little magazines like MAD.

We should ask Cam what it means.

Could be something, maybe nothing.

You'll have to ask Chris Graves about this one.

The character in Hooker With a Penis had new tatoos. Any connection, do you think?

"This image presents an ironic twist on the age old "Conflict between the good and evil".Like flys at a potluck picnic, infantile cherubs buzz a hapless demon to maddened wild-eye distraction. Afine example of "Symbolism", a Tool used by many a skilled artist to convey his message indirectly, thus affording the eager viewer the exhilaration of discovery."

This is what Cam told us about this picture...

[...]That image, in its entirety, is included with the vinyl version of Ænima (I'd know, I just looked), and that tattoo is nowhere to be seen.

The US version of Ænima on CD has only a portion of this artwork included.

For reference, here's a scan of the artwork as seen on the vinyl packaging: http://toolshed.down.net/pix/album/aenimababiesLP.jpg
