This might have been mentioned before but I've just noticed that the new logo is actually an ambigram. Check it out for yourselves, if you don't know what an ambigram is then follow the link :

It's not worth leaking really. It's just the album played backwards.

I have to play my version of the album in reverse to hear it like it was meant to be.

The other night I was tripping whilst listening to Rosetta Stoned and this blue-grey being appeared in my room and gave me a copy of Aldaraia.

Then I passed out.

When I woke up I couldn't remember where I'd put it.

My room smelled funny too.

And the 't' is crossed, the 'l' obviously isn't. The logo is chopped off in sub's avatar.

All this stuff would've been done properly if it was meant to be an ambigram

Wow, that could be worth something. And even if it was new music you shouldn't leak it, that's just stupid.

Ummm, yeah.

My comment was a late night attempt at humour. Might make a little more sense if you read ALL the posts.

And it would be a little narrow-minded to say leaking is 'stupid'. It can be both a positive and negative for the artist and the consumer/thief.

Hey I downloaded the leaked album and have since bought 2 copies of the CD personally and probably convinced a further 10 or so acquaintances to do the same.

Artist income sources are shifting so heavily at the moment that you'd be showing your support to an artist far more through buying a concert ticket to go see them. CD/album sales are still an important income source for an artist (such as tool) but are becoming increasingly insignificant compared to income from touring/merch/cross-promotion etc.

Not to mention that the income the band will actually see from the sale of each copy of 10,000 Days would be surprisingly miniscule. Especially considering the elaborate packaging. I bought my copies here in Oz for AU$20.85 each. Off the top of my head the band may see a dollar or two of that depending on their specific deal with their record company.

I'm not saying it's cool to leak and download and all that naughty stuff (I absolutely buy all local artists' albums, to support the local industry which I love). It's just not as black and white as some people see it.

Heh, look at the logo again. It's no ambigram, it says "fool" plain as day. My girlfriend doesn't listen to them, and saw the cover sitting out and pointed it out to me. I just started laughing, 'cause it's so true.

You think it says fool because there is a line coming across from the top of the T? Well what the hell is the last letter if that's your logic?
