Mayb tool was jamming in the studio or somewhere and they were like "yeah thats cool" and named it "Jam (B)" cuz it was their second Jam song and were just like "yeah its a blues record so hey well go with Jambi, that will throw them off"

im still a noob and love this site and this band and everyone here. the conspiracy shit made me think alot and was a lot of fun, but after all we do have a new tool album so its all good. so just a noobs thought. you guys are awesome keep up the good work.

Retarded thought.

Why exactly is it retarted?

We've been told constantly that the band have been 'jamming together for a while without Maynard', so it's perfectly feasable that they call their songs "Jam A, Jam B, Jam C, etc" until Maynard puts words and a title to them.

I often renamed songs my ex-band had written the music for when it came to me putting my lyrics down.

I think it's a valid idea that Jambi is a play on 'Jam B', amongst the other connotations the name has.

The song is too well planned to be a just a jam.
