Tool's Imagine?

As I listened and read the lyrics for the 10th or 12th I felt a very primal message of 'make love not war.' Primal yet, too difficult for the would to ever take to heart. I was in a friends room and heard APC's cover of Imagine and when I came back to my room this song was playing... I immediantly thought back to Imagine. Is this Tool's Imagine message for world peace? As simple as much of the song seems, I think there is some metaphysics and epistemology being asserted implicitly here between his chosen POV, humans referenced as monkeys, and simplfing all conflicts to land (which I am taking a little more liberaly as 'stupid material things.'). I dunno thoughts?

Calling it there Imagine is a little much, it definately has the same amount of meaning but im not so sure it'll be kept in memory like that...would be nice though.
