I swear I hear a flip sound in there, I mean fibbers makes sense in the context of the song, but I'm just not sure that is what he says. I believe I have got everthing else right with exception of Cold or Cool fluorescence. Thoughts Suggestions what is the man saying

For some reason I don't hear anything close to those.

Every single time I listen I hear "ignorant thread within the congregation." I'm not sure if that makes sense but I can't hear fibbers even if I try.

Thinking about it last night and I think sinners would also work in the context of the song, but I guess its fibbers, maybe MJK will have alternate lyrics like he does on so many other songs

I have to say that while it is so much more straight forward than we are used to that I feel this is one of Maynard's strongest lyrical moves to date. He doesn't wax poetic on us but he makes some very good choices in wordplay to make it come off the lips nicely. All this while not deadening the impact of the passing of Judith. It is Roger Waters it is scary...Scary in that while Waters is an excellent wordsmith Maynard has such a diverse system of lyrical delivery(He never nessecarily follows patterns most vocalists get stuck into) that it comes off even more nicely.
BTW.......I hear "Fibbers" too.....

I hear siblings, and after listening VERY carefully, you can hear the "bl" sound in siBLings when he pronounces it. Not to mention it sounds more like a sssss for siblings than phhhh for fibbers/flippants.

Besides, flippant is an adjective, not a noun.

well i listened for the ssss but all i hear as clear as the day i bought it was FL... so.. it could be
