Does Maynard say "REEFER" anywhere in this song? With references about being "high," I just don't know, for sure. Let's see...
Here are some common observations about "REEFER" being sung, by Maynard, in this song:
#1--- "Steal, borrow REEFER, save your shady inference..." (1:33-1:38)
#2--- "Now your REEFER, in shades of chosen indigo, got lemon juice up in your eye." (1:50-1:58)
#3--- "Now your REEFER, in shades of chosen indigo, got lemon juice up in your eye" (again). (2:58-3:05)
#4--- "REEFER in shades of indigo, trapped without a reason... " (4:11-4:17)
#5---"REEFER in shades of indigo." (4:18-4:21)
#6--- "Now while your REEFER, in shades of chosen indigo, got lemon juice up in your eye, eye." (5:24-5:30)
In terms of "marijuana" references, these are the only ones that seem to make sense, except for the possible lyric, "Ganga Police" (5:54-5:57) at the end.
If these lyrics are wrong, then this song probably has nothing to do with marijuana, metaphorically speqaking. WHAT IS THIS SONG ABOUT, THEN?
