Maybe I am naive, but what's with the disclaimer on the CD about the Stereoscopic? Is there something more that you can do with one of these things that I'm missing? If so, is it fun? Can it really hurt you? lol Just curious.

I was walking home from the record store, opening the CD I read the disclaimer and the first and only thing I thought of doing was burning ants :P Luckily (for the ants) it is cloudy...

May be dangerous to look at this thing on a sunny day. You may think, " Ive never noticed those flames before. Wow, I can almost feel the heat from them. Oh shit my cd is on FIRE!!!!!!!!"

Brind the CD with you on a camping trip, you could start a fire with it.

I suspect that it can permanently cross your eyes. I looked through it at the pictures for about two minutes at most and it gave a me headache until I took my contacts out and took a ten minute catnap. No more of that with me; I'm satisfied with see ing the pictures as two instead of one (hey hey hey, two become one--this CD is about sex!).

Actually it's going to be used in the new Lord of the Flies movie. Piggy is going to be a huge tool fan instead of a fat loser and they're going to steal 10,000 days from him to start the fires. He will die from Tool withdrawals.

Incidentally, i am studying for my products liability exam tomorrow and, as such, find this discussion and the disclaimer itself particularly hilarious. In the midst of the extreme banality that is law school finals, any bit of humor helps, thanks all.

kharma got me back though as today when i got in my car for lunch, my cd case was on the front seat and it was so hot the glue holding the lenses in melted and started sticking to all the pictures...luckily it is the snotty glue that you can just roll off...

I've actually used stereoscopic lens (more sophisticated of course) in the same way for college when looking at a side by side aerial photo to calculate the height of buildings and shit like that.

It's definitely bc of legal reasons, you know. Tool always puts out weird stuff in their packaging, so they just wanna be safe than sorry. I remember when I first got ÆNIMA, the lenticular case wasn't patented yet...

i thought they were drunk goggles at first....u know, so u dont have to spend money on beer...tool trying to lend a brother a hand right...so after i had fun driving around with them covering my eyes i kinda began to wonder what the hell that little book in the case was. needless to say, driving around with them on was a lot more fun.

Actually, the only reason Tool included the goggles was so that people could put them on their eyes and take a picture of themselves and use it as an avatar...

Ok. I can't belive no ones pointed this out, its for the same reason you can't wear glasses pescripted for some one else. Your eyes try ever so hard to focus, and fuck themselves up, looking at objects apart from the artwork is like making your eyes commit suicide... although it is kinda fun.

Maybe the lenses can be removed, broken and then they'd be sharp. Or maybe little kids could choke on them.
