Anybody else think that the cover work is a bit tacky? If so, do you think it is that way on purpose?

Look at the artwork, it seems the red curtains and exhibitionist outfits are simply mocking their hype and former image.

I tend to think that Tool wants us to take them less seriously.
I don't blame them. Look at the content of our threads.

i like the artwork, i just think the lenses are a bit superfluous.

and I think it wasn't tacky, I've never gotten my hands on a digipack so well done before...my only complaint is that is hard to keep closed.

I think you're right. I think the artwork is actually nice, but I think it may be part of saying "we're going to look at ourselves critically and not be serious." This artwork seems to sum up artwork from previous albums and what seems to be cheesy rehashing is probably really a cynicism toward past works.
