Dead Kennedys are one of my favorite punk bands, and why do you hate him?

what are you referring to? I've don't think I've ever heard him say anything I didn't at least partially sympathize with.

If you look at the lyrics for "Moon Over Marin" for example, its on the same track as any tool track politicly charged lyrics, and a song that makes me shudder when its sung..

ok so he fucked over his band members, but he wrote some of the best lyrics ever
"Your a star-belly sneech you suck like a leech
You want everyone to act like you
Kiss ass while you bitch so you can get rich
But your boss gets richer on you
Well you'll work harder with a gun in your back
For a bowl of rice a day
Slave for soldiers til you starve
Then your head skewered on a stake"

brilliant.

Leave ol' Jello alone. he has inspired tons of bands, plus when I found out he was doing the commentary on Parabola it notched him higher in my book. cheer up haircut, not every one can look as cool as you.

jello is awesome. If having a quirky and somewhat annoying voice was grounds for disliking someone, then maybe you should consider throwing your primus cd's away.

well the problem is that he's a douchebag. not his weird voice (which i actually enjoy). he's just a douche.

that said, the commentary for this video is excellent, i've watched it many times and i can't get sick of it.

I think Jello Biafra is brilliant. Not only for his work with Dead Kennedys, but for all of the other side projects he's done, such as Lard (him and Ministry), things with D.O.A., Mojo Nixon, NoMeansNo, and most recenly, the Melvins (which by the way Adam Jones has played a number of songs in, including both Jello and the Melvins albums!).

He's inspired tons of bands and has one of the longest running underground labels, Alternative Tentacles. I think his spoken word is awesome, too.

Douchebag? Nah...

I'm not saying he's a douche-bag: I don't know the guy. I didn't even know about his influence on the underground music scene. But his comment on the DVD is boring. So boring and uneventful that they had to throw in some sound effects to liven it up a little...

I think the only thing I've got to gripe about is how he's always talking about is how Mr. Biafra is always talking about corporations. He turns the whole commentary into talking about how major lables and corporations are bad. But, nevertheless, I still enjoyed it.

Ahhhh, pasta fireworks.

I would too, if I haven't heard him say it in a million other places like spoken word, Dead Kennedys, Jello with DOA, Melvins, etc. It's fine, but I think I would have liked to hear him talk more about the time he speared some fish at Lake Michigan, and chased his sister around with it. That would have been the best!
