I used to be on the hoax bandwagon... But the more I listen to Jambi the more I don't care if it's a hoax or not. This is an awesome song, and so far my fav on 10,000 days.

It took me about 30 or so listens to really like this song, and the vocals just get stuck in my head and I have to listen to it over again. I get chills right about 3:03... It's just so good!!! And the ending is incredible!

I'm pretty sure there is no hoax now, thanks to Jambi. I guess for some, 10,000 Days doesn't give you that instant gratification that most new cd's do with instant hooks and 3:00 songs on a 30 minute album (ie: the new Atreyu CD). 10,000 Days is just hard to digest at first for some.

This is the only song I've heard besides Vicarious. I love it. Love love love.

I just hope it isn't the best on the album, so that I have some more great ones to look forward too.

All the tracks on the album will take some time to absorb. Just like all Tool albums, you have to let the music run its course naturally. If you're really a fan of Tool you'll get comfortable with the greatness.

Right now, I've been listening to Jambi so much that I've ignored the later half of the album too much... but I've cut down on listening to Tool at all until SEATTLE.

The June '06 Issue of Guitar World (#275) has A. Jones as the cover story - He talks of always wanting to use a Talk Box (in my listening (to the Disc) this is the only song utilizing it) and in this song his wish was realized.

What's puzzling me is that he states the song he used it on is titled 'Those Shoes'
Quote - "I think that the Talk Box on [the 10,000 days track] "Those Shoes" is really amazing

In telling of how through many people Incl. Joe Walsh (Eagles) 'The Talk-Box fairy' (LOL!!) he states that he's happy w/ how it turned out.

'Those Shoes' = 'Jambi'?
Is that a working title, another hint at 'faked tunes'?

It took me about 30 or so listens to really like this song...

Ohhhhh k, and I'm sure your newfound gratification isn't self imposed at all.

Ya, I have that issue of Guitar World as well, and that was one of the "clues" alluding to a hoax album... But who really cares? What we have in our hands is AWESOME! Hoax album, or more T00L for that matter??? YES PLEASE! If not, we still have the live dvd coming soon to further satisfy our T00L palates...

while i don't have a specific favorite on 10,000 days [because i love pretty much all of them as a favorite] this is definitely leading the way. i find myself always listening to it more so than the others.

From all the songs of the album, this was the one that surprised me the most with its greatness. None of the album reviews said much about it, so I was really taken aback when hearing it for the first time.

I really love that part from 3:03 on too. That "Damn my eyes" part just gives me a toolgasm. They should have repeated that line a few more times...

This is true, but why am I the only one then who got the whole jist and feel of it the first time? I guess I expected something along these lines. I absorbed everything like a sponge.

I love how they get more tribal with each album! Get down with the primitives!

I am enamored with the album, and 'Jambi' reminds me of Serenghetti tribe performing a rain dance or something.

i love the entire journey through this song. it gets better every time. the ending does indeed kick some serious arse, but if you cut the song and end it at 3:55, it is one of the single greatest radio rock songs of all time. relevant thoughts on that, anyone?
