HAIL OH GREAT GOD

We sit,
Staring Blankly.
Eyes on the screen.
Crying,
When needed.
Laughing,
When prodded.
Pale faced.
Hollow eyed.
Unable,
To see beyond the screen.
Unable,
To fight back.
Unable,
To realize our enslavemt.
Slaves to a machine
That blasts a message of
DO NOT RESIST
Straight to our minds.
Dampening,
Our souls.
Stealing,
Our creativity.
Changes made,
Making what we create
Nothing more than a copy
Of what we are shown.
Round and Round
This goes.
From one generation
To the next.
The changes always Increasing.
Until one day,
It is all we will have.
Until one day,
It is all we will know.
Until one day,
When that last shred of self,
Tattered and torn,
Is ripped free.
Until one day,
It pulls us in
Completely,
And becomes our god:
Hail oh great God.
Show me your two dimensional
Wisdom.
And let me bask in the warmth
Of your emptiness.
