This is a great track. Epic like Third Eye with many levels of depth. Only Tool can make a song with so many layers to be peeled away.

Third Eye is to Tool's greatest song as Rosetta Stoned is to...........not.

I couldn't agree more. On my first few listens I was very worried. But this track has very quickly grown on me. It's also one of the most likely tracks on the album to get played live, along with Vicarious, which is cool. I can't wait to see this material live.

Yeah, totally.. A couple days ago, this track didn't have that many posts... now it's second (I think) to Vicarious.

I never actually hated it. I was just like wtf, this isn't Tool (especially on the first couple of verses). But I quickly grew into loving it.

i never hated it. i always love it. it stood out to me when i first heard it, i could tell what the song was about from what it could hear. But now that Ive read the actual lyrics and listened along, it has a new meaning. My second favorite on the album next to 10,000 days.

loved it the second i heard it, but i loved right in two more the first run through, now rosetta stoned is by far my favorite on this album, and is pretty much tied with lateralus for my favorite song of theirs

first time i heard RS i thought it was a joke. but the more i listened to it, the more i appreciated it. it's my favorite track on the album now.

i hated third eye at first. but it slowly grew on me, and now i love it a lot--it's a masterpiece.

it took me forever to get into third eye, Rosetta Stoned was kind of like that exept for the "Strapped down" part, loved that right away. it just takes a while to break down and fully understand those songs. i still pick up little pieces every now and then.
