i dont know if this thought has been posted or not, sorry im a little lazy to look.
i hear alot of people talking about how the new cd sould like lateralus in a way. mainly schism and vicarious. this is just my thoughts on it. maybe vicarious is the result of schism. let me explain......................
in schism he says

what if, by communication he means in t.v./raido. in my opinion t.v./raido is a poor source of communication now aday and all you see or hear is violance, gangs, crappy music and crappy music and music vids, murders, wars, stuff like that. and when the genral public consumes too much of this gabage they start to become it. kinda like monkey see, monkey do. the song is more like a warning.(agian, just an opinion.)

no one listens to the warning and keeps on being deaf and blind and dumb (sorry) and vicarious is the result of that ignorence
