I'm assuming his point is that this continues with the album's theme of Maynard's loss of his mother and his coping with it? I guess?

or a father, which is more common. You could be a haplodiploid,
such as with social insects (bees, wasps, ants etc) whereby the
queen does not fertalize some larva and they become males.

Keep in mind we have 2 complete sets of genome(diploid), technically
speaking if we were to be considered a cake we have 2 recipies
for 'cake ala toolfan'. With each step in each recipe fighting for
dominance with the other.

Take the 23rd second of every tool song starting with lateralus till the end of 10,000 days (they didnt start this till lateralus) and listen to it. its the key.

wtf is going on? i guess no one wants to take what he said seriously...

i'm guessing he's saying that because of maynard's loss he now feels like he has 23 chromosomes now coz she meant that much to him...as if he's half a man and such now she's gone...

23 is the number of chromosomes you would have without a mother

Uhmmmmm... no it isn't. 23 is the number of original chromosomes every single human being has. Each has a copy of itself making 46...

Really people?
