I like pretending to sound like TOOL on my guitar while imating Part Of Me or Lateralus or 46 & 2 but I also want to add Jambi to my list. Im only quite tone-deaf ( I just to inexperiecend to hear tones) so can someone Tab this song for me ??? inevitably it will be tabbed so... And PLEASE TAB IT in a GP4 format and also let us be able to download it??? PLEASE?????

I'm having a really difficult time picking out the notes other than the open D in the beginning. So don't be surprised if I'm wrong about those notes.

Does anyone have the timesignature of each part of the song. I will try to make a Guitar Pro for the song. I'm not that good of recognizing the played tones and timesignatures. I did hear that the main chord was the Dropped D but that's not that big a suprise with TOOL.

Does anyone have the timesignature of each part of the song

The majority of the song is in 9/8. When the bass comes in around the 1:00 mark, it plays a 6/8 riff on top of the guitar's 9/8. If I remember correctly at this section, the drums tend to accent each dotted quarter note so as not to care whether it is 3/8, 6/8, or 9/8. (Could be wrong about drums here, I don't have the song to listen to at the moment.)

Right before the solo, the song switches to 6/8 or 6/4. It goes back to 9/8 after the solo, though.

If you want to minimize time signature changes, then the whole first part is 9/4, the guitar solo is 6/4, then everything afterwards is 9/4. That way you can have the bass, guitar, and drums all in the same time signatures, although you'll have to be good about your rhythms.

Thanks, this was what I just logged back in to look for, I'm glad it didn't take too long. As for that guy playing Vicarious, I just sat through the whole thing open mouthed. I got a guitar yesterday after not having one for almost a full year, and started printing some tabs off, but when I found that link....shit, that guy is good. That guitar of his is really nice aswell, I'd love to be able to afford a Les Paul, but I'll have to be content with what I have instead I guess. At least I can start playing again, I've been inspired since 10,000 days came out and it's been driving me insane getting tunes in my head and then losing them because I had no guitar.

Erm....I'll stop ranting now.

looks to me like he pretty much nailed it. keep in mind that it's damn near impossible to perfectly imitate a good guitarist's technique, not to mention amp settings and equipment used. it doesn't make a huge difference, but nonetheless...

if you go on their forums, there is a song of Jambi already being planned out, and it's fully tabbed...there are also tabs on their "tabs" section for all of the other albums that are fairly accurate...

Yeah their all balls they can't even tab the intro, i've checked loads of tabs and videos people always get that intro wrong. Playing the wrong notes all over the place. I need to get this guitar pro tab up on here, people need to learn that intro correctly.

Tooltabs.net is only good for pointing you in the right direction. If you have no motivation to figure the song out, just give up.

Sit down and listen to it and figure it out on your own. Anyone with guitar skill and ears can do this. Adam Jones isn't known for his diverse riffs. If you can figure out that he's almost indefinitely dropped D on either F, A, or variations on those, you can figure out ALL his riffs.
