The "subliminal" message..

In an older post, someone comments about the small echo heard in Lateralus, at about 5:20 and ending when Maynard begins the part about the infamous 'spiral.' After listening to this song for over a month before I went to sleep, I could hear the echo more closely. True, it does say "Step out." but there is more to it.

Step out.
Step out.
Step out and away.
Step out and away.
Step into the spiral.
Step out of the spiral.

I always hear that, EVERY time I listen to it. Each part after "Step out." usually sounds like a small echo or a mumble, but listen closely and you will hear what I speak of.

its just maynard saying stuff with analog delay, so it makes that nice loss of frequencies in succesion...fromt he begining i knew he was saying something along the lines of wat he was singing...i alweays heard it walking to school.
