Comparing 'Judith' to '10,000 Days' makes me wonder how Maynard's feelings towards his mother's situation evolved.

'Judith' is a very impulsive, angry song that seems to have the opposite feeling to '10,000 Days' which is one of closure and acceptance. To me, I would imagine that Maynard would feel like he was betraying his mother's peace by continuing to bring up his anger. If he has truly let it all go, then one would think that he has no need to be so angry anymore.

Putting aside the fact that "Judith" was a big seller for apc, do you guys think they (or more importantly, Maynard) will ever feel the need to play it live?

EDIT: And forgive me, I haven't seen apc since they opened for NIN back in the day, so I don't know if they have been playing the song on recent tours or not... I suppose that would answer my question. :)

But anyway, I think people here in TDN don't understood the message in this song.

I actually loved all of APC's albums, with the exception of a few songs on eMotive. :)

I agree, but you just proved my point. They were declining very rapidly. Talent by emotive = shit.

eMOTIVE wasn't supposed to be great. It was just easier to cover a bunch of old songs and put it out as their third album to get out of the 3-CD contract.

well it seems as though the band has 'broken up' because of TOOL's 'reformation', correct?

also, I believe maynard wrote the lyrics to 'Judith', not Howerdel.

that and billy not wanting to be in the same direction

APC lyrics were written by Billy Howerdel. 'Judith' had nothing to do with Maynard's mom. It was about a biblical character. Look it up.
congrats on the one of the worst first post ever

Wrong! The song was about Maynards mum. He explains it on the commentary on the aMOTION dvd.The song is about how he cant understand why she still had faith in god after she was paralised.

I saw apc about a month or so after his mother died.

I remember wondering if they would play Judith live, and they did.

are they really broken up? I thought that Maynard was just taking some time off for the main band, and that after a year or two that he'd take another break for APC.
