As good as the other title tracks??

I believe it is an excellent song. But comparing to the title tracks off the other albums e.g. Lateralus off Lateralus. Aenema off Aenima, is it really worthy.

See I dont think it does. You compare it to (the songs) Opiate, not so much Undertow, but definitely Aenima and Lateralus and they are all so amazing. I feel that this is more subdued. It has its points and i understand how people are moved by it, but the previous title tracks just had much more of an effect on me.

To be completely honest, I was slightly bored the first time i heard 10,000days(song) it has grown on me after repitition but I still dont think it's title track material.

Yeah, it surely lives up to the "title track reputation." I almost cried the first time I heard it, and it has since become my favorite song on the record (along with "The Pot," which really grows on you.)

BUT, I like Lateralus better as an album. This one is more hit and miss. Lateralus was solid through.

They do a great job with their title tracks; every title track is usually the culmination of the album's idea. That's why I wish this one was later in the album, possibly even the last song.

This is the only song on this album that I can see as being right for the title track.

I don't think you can really compare this song to Lateralus, Ænema, Undertow or Opiate. It's completely different from anything they've ever done. Though I would definitely have to agree with psychodad, that this is the most personal, naked and vulnerable work that Tool has put out. If that's your definition of what makes a song great, then 10,000 Days is clearly the best. If musical complexity is what turns you on, then Lateralus is the best. I think that Tool songs need time to be digested, so which song is eventually thought of as the best remains to be seen.
