Why aren't I seeing ANY promotional posters or magazine advertisements for the new album?

I live in NYC. I work right on Broadway. Everywhere I look are posters all around for upcoming albums. Magazine ads for other band's upcoming albums. In Tower records, ads for every upcoming album you can think of.

Except for 10,000 Days.

The album comes out in 2 weeks. The world should be bombarded with promotional items announcing the new CD. Yet I have seen nothing..

Probably because Tool realizes that promotion costs money and their money comes straight from a hardcore underground fanbase.

I dunno, I've been to a bunch of record stores, and have visited locations where lots of promotional materials appear, and nothing for Tool..

Then again, NYC isn't that big of a market anyway :)
