my thoughts on the new tool song "Vicarious"

I liked it the first time when it was called "Schism"

The only part that sounds like Schism to me is the build up right before they go into the chorus for the last time. Other than that I dont think it has that much in common.

At 5:40 it begins to sound like Parabola (Twirling round this familiar parable, etc) to me, and then switches back to nothing I've ever heard before.

the point is, Tool have fallen off and are just recyling the same old boreing riffs and weird time signatures that we have come to expect from them. I'd rather just go listen to Aenima, which is the greatest album of all time.

Actually, this song is more like H. than Schism as far as the guitar goes. The timing is different, more complex, but very similar. Any guitar players agree???

THIS SONG STICKS OUT LIKE A SORE THUMB COMPARED TO THE REST OF THE ALBUM!!!!!!!!! DON'T WORRY, FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVEN'T HEARD THE REST, THIS SONG IS NOTHING LIKE THE REST OF THE ALBUM.
