All the paranoid ranting in this song makes it seem like they're poking fun at the esoteric nature surrounding Tool.

And if not, I'm gonna pretend that's the case because it makes me happy.

I think it also pokes fun at the kids who think drugs are the only way to understand Tool or who assume that Tool writes all their songs while stoned. "I forgot my pen."
