How is Maynard going to perform this song live? Such high notes make his voice crack.

His voice sounds a bit more refined on this album though. I think he may have learned to control it a bit more.

He has a lot more control of his sustained legato phrases.... And it REALLY shows on this track.

LMAO. He sings live with a higher pitch than usual. Listen to him talk to in interviews, his voice is a little up there. I dont think he will have any problem except for the screaming at the end. But its been my experiance that he will belt it for a second and then use a delay to finish it off like during The Grudge live. Should be interesting

Will he pull it off? Yes? No? Crapshoot?

His voice has had a rest for a while as tours finished some time ago. So he'll probably be able to pull it off for a while.

Knowing a few singers myself, it's probably not that he can't pull off the intensity of the screams, but it's just that you have to really keep your voice in decent shape across the length of a tour.

I'd sure feel let down if Maynard had belted out with complete intensity and to their entire length the climactic screams to both the grudge and eulogy at the show before mine and when he got to my show his voice was shot.

I already heard APC live once when Maynard was all stuffy and had the flu and it wasn't pretty. I know it was good of him to still play but he pretty much didn't even sing the closing scream in judith and in orestes he cracked a note pretty bad. Thankfully I saw them again on the next tour and they rocked hard. I'm fully convinced that pet and the noose are apc's best song live.

Maynard has a nasty habit of standing in a dark spot on stage to hide the fact that's he's not there and actually recording with A Perfect Circle.

I wish people would stop bitching about 'Nards voice. It sounds awesome. He's actually singing very audibly and clearly and it sounds fine. In fact it sounds great later in the song.

Believe me, it's not THAT hard. For me is a little bit hard, but he won't have big problems to do this song right, live.
