If anyone still needs tickets for this it appears that lastminute.com have some at face value.

http://www.lastminute.com/lmn/pso/catalog/Product.jhtml?CATID=102998&PRODID=451557733

I took it right up to the confirmation page but no further as I’ve got mine and obviously not interested in scalping

I can't say it will definitely work but it's worth a try. (I've bought plenty of tickets etc of this site and it's well known and legit in case anyone has concerns)

hey guys,
i'm still trying to get two tickets for the 14th off my hands. I have decided not to go to the tool gig and after the recent pearl jam debacle I do not want to use ebay ever. So here's to hoping that some real tool fan will take the tickets from me. PM me and I'll work out something very reasonable with you. I'm not looking to screw anyone around here. I'm not going, there's two tickets here. That's it.
thanks

I'm seeing this on the 14th, standing due to a lucky buy on ebay - he had an awful title that wouldn't attract anyone searching for tickets. Got them very reasonably considering I've seen singular tickets going for ~£100.

Particularly wanted to go on the 14th since it's obviously going to be better than the 13th. ;)

Just thought i'd ask here, ask i've found it nowhere else, and this is the gig i have tickets for (omg!). Is there any info or rumours on the 'special guests' to be supporting tool, either in England only, or over the whole tour? Some friends have suggested the Deftones, because they've worked together before and are both at download festival, but i'm not so sure....

Hey. I'll be there for the 14th, standing. Still trying to get tickets for 13th - well as soon as I get paid again.

If you have seated tickets and want to know where you are sitting check out http://www.theatremonkey.com/HAMMERSMITHstalls.htm All seated is raised at the back of the room, but I saw APC from there and it wasn't at all bad....

I'm a Londoner so if you want any advide on this kind of stuff please don't hesitate to ask! Would really really good if anyone's available to meet up before the gig....

Settle down. Some concerts have a number of different ticket styles, depending on the agency you bought from, and also the venue. I remember seetickets.com used to print their tickets on massive purple stock, bigger than a cheque. With the two tickets I ordered for the 14th show, however, they bear the getlive.co.uk and are a bit more 'ticket sized'. I wouldn't worry too much......

......that said, IT COULD BE FAKE! Depends if you got it from somewhere/someone reputable, I guess.

Hi guys, I think the people from the board should meet up. I am going with my brother. I've been lurking in these forums for years and only just got an email which allowed me to join properly. Anyway, where are people meeting? I will be queuing early on I think as I bought standing and want to get close. I saw them last in 2002 on lateralus tour.

too right BrokeN_Naols, it's pretty close! I'll be getting my train tocket soon. Not sure what to wear lol. Don't want to look like some loser with a tool tshirt from their last tour...who knows. Maybe I will just roll out of bed and not give a shit. Second time for Tool and it's been so long coming!

Saw APC twice and that was amazing. Tool at ozzfest were amazing.

I think that when they play in England, they'll play a lot more than they've been playing in America so far. Can't wait.

son't suppose you mean ozzfest 2001?! I remember that day VERY well. I hadn't heard any TOOL up untill that point. Standing pretty much at the front.and was very much blown away. then they played AEnima. the OINLY TOOL song i knew, and loved! and didn't even know who played it untill that point. I think I shit my pants at that point lol.

Also seen APC in 2002. (damn, its that long ago!!) I was working in butlins, got the natonal express from there to London. great, great day.

I meant Ozzfest 2002 actually. The setlist is somewhere on this website in a tour review. Twas amazing. Totally amazing gig. This time round I know all the songs inside out so it will be awesome. It was so good to see them live with little knowledge of them though. I was blown away. SOAD left early due to rain, drowning pool played and the lead singer is since dead, cradle of filth kept asking it to rain or chanted, and TooL just came out and played. Maynard wore a long leather coat and had a blue stripe down his face. Ticks and leeches was played too. Amazing stuff.

i'd be extremely disappointed if the whole gig lasts only one and a half hours...i mean come on, when i saw reel big fish they alone played 1 and a half hours with something like 3 or 4 support bands- if they can do that, i think Tool can put on at least a 2 hour show, be it with just them or with support.

I think this is BS. OK, so Tool are my favourite band, doesn't mean they can go round mis-selling stuff. The deal is we buy tickets with a support act included. If the support act goes AWOL, do something to cover it, play a longer set, something. Being popular doesn't give you the right to screw over your fans. What next? The follow up to 10,000 Days has 12 tracks on the cover but only contains 3? Buy a tour shirt and find out it has no back on it? Unroll your poster and find it half printed. Yeah, I know they're your favourite band, I know they play once every blue moon, but this isn't reasonable.

I'd be surprised if they decided to add support just for the British leg, "special relationship" or not. OK, so until I stand there and the support act comes on or not, it's up for grabs, but tell that to the people in Luxembourg who turned up with Isis printed on their ticket and got 80 mins or so, then exit stage left. OK, so I wait to see what happens, but if they DO turn it on for the London and Glasgow gigs, I'd be pissed if I was in Germany...

I agree, it's unlikely i suppose. After all Tool are a band signed to a big big label and i think it's unlikely they can install a support randomly at the drop of a hat.

Changing the subject a little, does anyone think the setlist will change? I'm sure it'll be a great show and i can't wait but it seems a little weak atm :(.

I know it'll never happen but (in an ideal world where tool played me a private show) i'd like to see/hear

Lateralus
Opiate
The grudge
Eulogy
parabol

Sober
10,000 days
jambi

They'll play lateralus, but you missed vicarious. The grudge is doubtful, sober probably will be played, and maybe jambi and the pot. 10,000 days would be awesome, someone heard them trying it at a sound test a week or so ago. London gigs should be awesome and seeing the deftones would be amazing. Imagine that for a support band!

hey tim that is really unfortunate. I'd suggest checking out the Hammersmith Apollo website. Usually it is venue regulation on smoking. But even if it is nonsmoking, there will still be people smoking anyway. I hope you can go, but also hope you dont go Thursday, because isn't playing then. :)

Sandbox Magician

Hmm... 8:30pm start would be better *if* indeed that's when they come on, although I can't see them treating this gig any differently than they would say, Glasgow or anywhere else in Europe tbh.

In anycase, this will be the 3rd time I've seen em' come this evening, only problem is the fucking tubes are up shit creek. Again. Hope they get em' sorted soon.

Doors opening on my tickets say 7pm.

Chuck
06-13-2006, 04:31 AM
I have to say, that does sound unlikely, considering the tour so far. Also, the ticket indicates that doors are at 7pm, not 6. Although, I have heard of venues opening their doors an hour early recently.

I guess I'm not willing to take the risk, though. If they do play a 2.5 hr set, I think I'll wet myself.

Sandbox Magician
06-13-2006, 04:37 AM
I think we'll be very, very lucky if they play a 2 hour plus set. 2 hours at a push, but I don't seem them deviating much from the set-list that's been played on previous occassions tbh.

Would be nice if they played 'Wings..' mind or even if they kick-off like they did last time I see em'.

Danny strolls on stage to huge ovation. Jumps straight into a drum-solo before the other members stroll on and the drum-solo suddenly melds into the opening bars of 'Ticks & Leeches'. Fucking awesome that was!!

There were a few people smoking before they came on, but when they were on (down the front at least) the security were making sure no-one lit up as soon as they saw even sparks. It's a big venue, your not going to suffocate, although I have to sympathise with people who suffer because of it . .. . Have fun.

In the seated area people kept lighting up all the time and nobody seemed to be doing anything about it, at least where I was sitting, also some really drunk / crazy fans kept standing up in the very front row moshing and singing along like a bunch of silly goons at a wedding party, blocking everyones view. I know people want to get in to it but he should have went to the standing area if he wanted to stand : \

Questions:
* Can we bring water bottles into the venue, or are those confiscated so we've gotta buy from the bar?
* I've got a circle seated ticket - there going to be any chance I can sneak down into the stalls?
