I'm not going but maybe I can help you out with this:

venue info (in German):
http://www.arena-berlin.de/event.aspx?eventId=1413
tickets costs 41,95 euro
support acts starts at 20.00
see "Kontakt" for a map and location in the city (it's in former West-Berlin)

this website doesn't support online booking,
for that, check http://www.kartenhaus.de/ and tick the english flag

direct link for tool (if it works)
http://www.kartenhaus.de/index.cfm?FuseAction=Show_Detail&log=26040623&ID=4122528&Lang=GB

select A " Freie Platzwahl " (= general admission) and choose amount of tickets

(or B is you want both a ticket and the new cd)

or another online store: ticketsperpost.de
direct link: https://buchen.qintix.de/elektra/jsp/104330001.jsp?actioncode=&do=quickSearchEvent&actioncode=&sessionId=28b8ae6e444fecdea2ebb&lang=en&printathome=0

good luck! :)

I´m not sure if news already got out: it´s been over 16 years, that the berlin wall is no more.

Nevertheless, please consider your spelling of "former East-Berlin" or take a look at at map from this time (<1990).

sorry man,
i saw the lower image on the map on the site of the venue at
http://www.arena-berlin.de/anfahrt.aspx
and saw the words Savignyplat and Kurfurstendamm , which still are in the west of the city, right? (I have been there twice...)
But I should have checked the upper image, and in that case you are correct...

P.S.: From this time is (>1990) :)

i'm from sweden but i'm going to be in berlin during the week when Tool plays.. and I have some questions that I hope someone can help me with:

- the tickets, are they all 'open seats', or is it divided into diffrent sections?
- all ticktes are sold out right? so Ebay.de is the way to go..?

thanks in advance,
hugo

it's not sold out yet so you don't have to please the scalpers. Try http://www.kartenhaus.de/index.cfm?FuseAction=Show_Detail&log=18050600&ID=4122528 , there is an english option. Tickets are open seats ( Freie Platzwahl ) and costs about 41 euros. Good luck!

I just got my ticket through the post, coincidentally ordered from kartenhaus.de. I'm going to Pinkpop the weekend before, then to Amsterdam on the Tuesday and then getting a train to Berlin either Tuesday night or Wednesday. I have however, so far, yet to make any arrangements for accomodation. Anyone out there know of decent youth hostels in Berlin? Or better yet, slightly optimistic, anyone want to offer me some floor space in Berlin? (cannibals need not apply) PM me if anyone is out there...

So after years of reading posts (laughing, shaking my head, stumbling across a few sapphires in the mud) I am in the position to post one myself. I'm going be in Berlin for the show. And, of course, I am interested in meeting up with anyone. I used to live in Berlin so I am somewhat familiar with the city. Speak German as well...

If anyone is game... just PM me. see you there...
