If he is using a whammy anywhere, I haven't heard it, and I totally ripped apart the song to make this accurate. I didn't hear any whammy-esque pitch shifting but let me know if you find otherwise.

fixed the intro, you forgot the hammer ons from 7 to 9 (end bar 1 ) and 5 to 7 (end bar 4)

i can hear whammy there too, but i'm not exactly sure how he's doing it or what setting. If he's not using whammy then theres some serious eq bringing out some upper harmonics.

Heres something that will help you practice it. I did some filtering and just left the guitar. just put this mp3 on loop and play along, you'll get to hear where the riffs overlap a bit better
