On the other hand, if it was real and some guy from a music shop did have it it seems highly unlikely that his would be the only music shop which got it and, therefore, we would probably be hearing leaks by now. Okay so today I was talking to someone who said the artwork was really nice. I didn't think he was serious, yet, I asked for proof, which he gave me by uploading two different (huge) scans from the booklet. That's still the big problem: how can artwork be THAT big...

Anyways there are two pics, the maynard one is the first, the second one is with a head-baby. I already send the URL to someone on this board a few hours ago to check if it was a fake, and he said he hadn't seen it before. I'll post it here but edit it out in 2 minutes. GO

If the image was scanned at 600DPI and it was 5 inches tall, the image would be 3000pixels on the monitor.. which is much larger than any normal resolution height.

It's very simple.

A 3x5 photo scanned with a very good scanner at 1500DPI would yield a huge picture on a computer monitor (along with filesize).

Just cross your eyes so that the images overlap, tilting your head so that they match up exactly. You might have to move towards or away from the screen, too. I finally managed to get it, but now I feel dizzy and nauseated. It's seriously worth it, though; this is really well done.

Not really. It is in fact a scan from the middle of the booklet (or somewhere near the middle) as you can see at the edges: it's gonna be a 30-pages booklet or something. No lyrics featured though :(.

And singles don't have booklet, so it has to be the album.

That isn't the cover. It's an "album-mini". It was posted on Toolband.com, and an explanation of what it is. It is not the "album cover", it is just a representation of the album to tide over retailers to put on their product listing until the album is released.

I would speculate that if the representation of 10,000 Days and the "fool" logo is the image we all see on Amazon.com and this leak is indeed real, then we are looking forward to an album that probably is not entitled 10,000 Days. (I believe this was mentioned a few posts above me citing the same evidence).

But what does it matter. We got only 3 weeks to go.

I reckon the Alex gray "cover" could also been an anti-leak measure. If people wanted to leak/steal the new tool album before it releases, they'd probably have seen the "album cover". So they will be looking for this non-exsistant cd cover, while the real tool album could be Aenima/Undertow style, just the artwork and no words on the cover.

Yeah really. I've been skeptical myself lately, but it gets to a point where this kind of stuff pretty much has to start leaking. And we're at that point. Think about it, the album will be released in Australia in 17 days.

Do you guys have any idea of how long it will take to print the millions (ok, probably at least a million) of booklets that they'll need for the worldwide release? Even once it's all printed, it has to be sent to be packaged together with the jewel case and the CD itself. This stuff takes time.

Given these ideas and the fact that the picture with Maynard would be extremely hard to fake (although not entirely impossible), I'd say being skeptical at this point is a little overboard.

Well it is a dark-haired mohawk, and from that distance the picture was taken you really wouldn't see much of a dark mohawk against the black background in the mirror. And there is an image overlay of the woman on the mirror, so the mohawk would be underneath it, nullifying the argument that the mohawk isnt on top of the white areas of the woman.

I know the source via internet. He told me that his job sometimes was a bitch, but the sunny side was that he could see the booklet before everyone else. So I thought he worked in a music store or something where they assemble cd's. Yet, Two hours later (after everything already started rolling) I mailed him again about the cover.

He doesn't have the album. He works for a company that makes the booklet.

You would need the stereo image of the photo that's been posted already. Anything can, in theory, be made into a stereoscopic image. I would imagine that it'll be a very heavy theme in the booklet.

Personally, I think the stereoscopic fetus-skull is better than the shot of Maynard... it really vibes when you get it in full focus!

Basically, just look at the images and cross your eyes until you see both of them collide in between each other, and then they will take form.

This is how it works best for me...

Get roughly 2 feet from the monitor and cross your eyes slowly until you see 3 images instead of 2. Once you get the 3rd, middle image, focus in on it.

Be warned, after you do it it takes a few minutes to get your normal focus back.
