Yea. I posted a similar thread in the main forum and when I came back to see if it had any responses, it had dissappeared :o

Negative - I disagree. It sounds like it has the obscure instrument mentioned in the article about APC "The Nurse". If that is not something to do with Tool, I'd be extremely surprized.

Do a DNS lookup here: http://who.godaddy.com/whoischeck.aspx

Someone is using domainsbyproxy.com which is a huge step in avoiding disclosure.

Whoa.

Correct.

If I had to take a ****wild**** guess, I'd say they planned to release the cd under the "aldaraia" name and told someone they thought they could trust. This person ran their mouth and the band changed a lot of things at the last moment.

Or... they knew the information had been leaked, so they released mis-information... it may very well be named Aldaraia..

But, in my opinion, it is highly likely both of these (websites) are related to the band. I don't see the label allowing them to continue in existance illegally..

tool never registers offical albums names for real sites, why would they start now? They'd just put it on toolband. Aldaraia is not real, especially not aldaraia.net. Like I said, that music could be from thousands of different albums. I've heard a lot of cds that have that cool mystic vibe which could easily be fronted as tool.

Good call.

I looked back over the registry information.. My intuition tells me they would not register through an anonymous service 1 day after the "aldaraia" information was leaked. If they were going to register, I'd assume it would happen before this...however...

On the other hand, the flash on that site looks very crisp and the music has a distinct Tool smell. Maybe they were worried that the anonymous service would leak this information?

/Guess we will just have to wait and see.

I said it in the last thread about this, so I'll say it here. That is not Tool, it is a killer whale singing and playing the tabla in the mountains between India and Pakistan. He's wearing a special breathing device, that's how. The biggest problem was getting all that kelp up there (whales don't like pita bread or curry). Just another example of the power of Tool's black magic.

I apologize for crapping on the serious nature of this thread.

OK, i'm sure this has been posted, but anything in the rumors section shouldn't be flamed anyways. Ok, Guitar World didn't have a tracklisting, and Adam didn't want them to have it. Big deal.

How does this mean the current one is false?

bshull2
04-03-2006, 10:30 PM
I didn't say that the current one was false, but why wouldn't adam refer to each individual song? I just don't get it? Its a record...no less no more. Seriously, unless Tool is seriously trying to keep something secret (aka the tracklisting is wrong/there is more than just a new album coming out). if not than tool has really lost my respect. this isn't about preventing leaks, all they would have to do to prevent leaks is to NOT ANNOUNCE the album name and the tracklisting but they have supposedly done this.

bshull2

bzzzz incorrect. The only way to prevent leaks is to ensure the actual songs aren't made available to anyone else - which is exactly what they have done. The tracklisting is out, but if you try to download Vicarious off Limewire, all you'll get is the Doom3 track.
