I wrote this while listening to the first half of aenima just pulling out words and phrase that I misinterpreted. I ve looked at many Tool lyrics that to me sounded conpletely different...anyways this is the product of deep contemplation and confusion of tool lyrics...

"Abortion"

Judas, how you weren't arfraid to die,
Chocked up on every little thing,
Punching nothing but your pride,
Taking numbers and standing tall in line.

Would you make the sacrifice if asked again,
Instead of eulogising what was said.
Forking the Pig to watch it all begin,
Digging deep the wrong way to Heaven.

Coming through the lying mirror,
Can you turn breakfast to wine.
Opening up this heart like a whore,
Tempting the crackling snake sour.

Slipping the knot around the feelings,
Consideratly healing the storm again,
With out the skin to fade the king
While you hide the pride of stealing
And ranting it all away---abortion

I can't remember the exact quote, but Maynard once compared the lyrics to a photograph. He basically said that album lyrics did not always match live lyrics did not always match written/typed lyrics, but just as you look different in multiple photos taken of you throughout the years, so may these songs appear different, but are still the same.

Just a thought, it very well could be that what you heard was not what is written.

PS - I like the poem.
