Just email your local station, I emailed the two local rock stations awhile back when I heard about the "April 17th" rumor asking them if it was true. Both stations responded to me and one has kept me updated on all the "News" they recieve. Here is an email I got this morning from him:

"the first single will be called "VICARIOUS". It is the album
opener....it's over 7 minutes....and arrives at rock radio 4/17. I'd look for
it to leak a day or two early, though.

I don't think they'll receive it for a week or so at the absolute earliest hence my doubts about Systolic's claims.

The point is, none of the stations have it yet. Didn't the news release say it would ARRIVE at rock stations on April 17th?

I contacted my friend who DJs for the biggest mid market rock station area in Georgia.

Not a word on the new single/album.

Well I dropped by the station and left him a note about it. He e-mailed me letting me know that, aside from the May 2nd date they've been told about, and a possible mid-april single, that they have nothing. He's heard all the rumors too, but these are the only real things he's personally recieved.

I doubt your going to get anything. I never hear them play tool, although I don't listen to them much either.

Last saturday there was a barbecue at Adam's place. I asked them (Tool) about the album and if I may have a listen. They said: we will barbecue you if you listen before the album is officially released.
Rest of the barbecue we listened disturbed.

I emailed the program director of 89x in Detroit today about Vicarious. He replied with the following:

We have not received it yet. I’ve been told it’ll be in our hands in mid April.

Have you heard something different?

Systolic is clearly a lying attention whore -- no stations have received the single or even heard specifics about when to expect it. I guess we'll just have to keep waiting a couple more weeks.

It sure would seem like Blair should soon be giving official word about the title of the single and the date it will be released to radio. Maybe posted in the next week?

yea tool would never send a single to all the stations 3 weeks before it comes out. i believed systolic too.....no wonder he couldnt remember any of the lyrics.

I just sent an email to the local "rock" station here in Tucson. They play mainly frat-boy vag rock (ala SOAD, Disturbed, Linkin Park, Korn), but they occassionally play some decent music, including Tool.

I'll post any response that I get.

Heres what my local dj who is a rabid tool fan had to say in response to my email. Hes even wearing a tool shirt in his pic on the radio station website, which I commented about.
