So do you think that the rumour of the new album being influenced by Meshuggah is true, or another 'fable' that Tool love to present their fans with?

Discuss...

Maybe its just so we preconceive what the new albums gonna sound like, or if true, could make for a very interesting sound & album.

Yes its true. They toured with them for Christ sake, so I imagine Tool has a lot of respect for the band.

I had a dream and heard the new disc. Its heavy, but its TOOL and you cant mistake it. Thats all the news I have for now.

Of course it's true. It's one of their favorite bands as a collective and Danny's favorite metal band.

They've been saying Meshuggah and Patton have been helping them find a heavier sound since the first time they talked about writing this album.

The "rumor" started by the band themselves saying that Meshuggah and Fantomas were an influence. It's fact, not rumor.

None of the people releasing fake songs have tried using Meshuggah yet, disappointing. :)
