It's nearly March, then April then May and we've finally got the new album! Isn't it so surreal? We've been waiting years now its only a couple of months away.. I haven't come to terms with it yet but I can't wait

I bet i fall into a comma on May 1st :-( And wake up like... 2 years later and everyonewill be like "Tool, man their last three albums sucked. What were they thinking covering Elvis tracks?" I'll be a bitter man when that day comes.

But meh, i'm still pretty hyped up about the album.

I know it's wrong to say, but I sincerely hope it gets leaked before may second. I dont think I can handle just listening to singles, I wanna experience the whole thing. (I will buy it of course, just a lil excited to hear it)

HERETIC!!

Supporting album leaks (regardless of how much you're jonesing) is not cool.

Nope you're not alone, I'm not really a fan. I don't hate his music or anything, I just don't particularly enjoy it.

I was bought up on Elvis. Everytime we went to my cousins house (Which is about 3 hours away) we'd have an album on in the car, it would repeat a number of times... by the age of ten i knew the words to all the songs on that album. And Don Williams, knew all the words to his songs too.

Ah memories.

But anyway, Tool, album, new, can't wait.

I would think that being brought up on Elvis would be much better than being brought up on religion and having your parents not allow you to buy cds because they had questionable imagery on them. This wasn't the case for me, but someone I know had to hide all of his music cds inside video game boxes so his parents wouldn't find out he had them. According to his parents, the artwork on SP's MC&the Infinite Sadness and The Offspring's first album was offensive.

I say good for parents who expose their children to art and music, rather than shelter them from everything.

I'm going to have a listening party in the full basement of the house I live in, played from start to finish with my recording studio equipement (powered monitors, mixer, the works). I have these the night before an album is released, and most of the time... we all go out and buy the album at the midnight release. The one I had for Lateralus was successfull, in that everyone that attended bought the new album within the week of it's release. Great times.

Yeah. Your brillant story about being raised on Elvis being good for your musical tastes, and that being brought up on Elvis somehow shows that your parents were open-minded was just too ingenius for my little brain to handle. Either that, or it was a bad analogy, using shitty music, and was a skewed theme far enough away from the actual subject of the thread to make most people think, "what the fuck is this guy talking about?"

They were cover albums dammit! You can just churn them out...

Having said that i bet you we see the next album (After this one) a darn sight quicker than this one. I reckon they'll stop touring, sit on their arses for a bit, then get right back in the studio for one last kick arse album!
