I know a lot of people have stated that they believe Schism relates to the love of two people and their lack of communication. Whether they are lovers or brothers of some sort isnt exactly clear but I agree with this interpratation.
That being said, it could be applied on a larger scale. Rather then being two individual people, it could be a mass of people or an entire society. The lack of verbal communication between people in our modern technological society could be seen to some as the marker for a large scale demoralization of past morals, ways of life and beliefs. If we fail to communicate on an intelligible level, then we can’t hope to evolve and move onto a higher level of being or consciousness.
