Just to kill some time, I thought it might be fun to see when people think we'll hear the leaked title of the album...

I think we will know the album title and a few song titles by the end of this month. We may even get our first interview from the band. If for some strange reason it doesn't happen by the end of this month, then you can count on that info coming in March.

Wow... cool.
I'm guessing that they'll say during the promo tour that there's still no title for the new album, so if the album name does leak before it's officially announced then no one can be sure because of what the boys have said about it having no title yet.

I have wondered if Tool will get up to some mischief on this "promo tour". As in, bogus names, track-lists, stories, etc. I was a little taken back that Tool were actually doing a promotional tour....kind of an oxymoron of a sentence, which got me thinking that they may have fun with a few journalists.
They have done it before, so it definately wouldnt surprise me.

We will never know what the official title is until it comes out.
We might see it but think that is another BS title.

i'm pretty confident that they have to have a title and everything like that set up already. if the album is coming out in May, then the artwork has to be sent to the printer and typesetter, plus several proofreadings and updates. all of that work would take up the 12 weeks or so that is left before the 'may' release date.
officially, i think that they will find some way to skirt the issue, but I'm pretty sure that someone out there knows. (outside of blair and the folks close to the band)

I don't see how the album title would be a "top secret" issue now that it is finished. It will come down to when the band finally decides to set the album free to the world. I can't see them holding on to it any longer than they need to work on it.
This "new album" needs a title. TBA is never a good name.

I voted "Within a Week". My reasoning is that from the time of their first promo stop, the title has the possibility of leaking. They will not do a whole promo tour without having an album name to promote.

My guess would be that if it has to do with anything that has been posted anywhere, it would be from Adam's myspace. His occupation has been listed as "Crashlanding Pseudo-XY•Aetherius" and "Crashlanding Pseudo-XY•Dénaturé" at various times. I take crashlanding to mean "working on". That's why I'm thinking the album title will be associated with "Pseudo-XY•Aetherius" or "Pseudo-XY•Dénaturé".

Not sure about Dénaturé. If you google Aetherius though, the results are pretty interesting. It leads you to some sort of UFO-based religious cult.
After further thought, Pseudo-XY could be the working title of the album. Aetherius and Dénaturé could be working titles of two different tracks. That would explain the structure: Pseudo-XY•Aetherius Pseudo-XY•Dénaturé.

Yeah, it makes so much sense to act so secretive about the album, but put the fucking title on one of the most popular websites in the world. Great idea.

well, I mean it actually sounds very tool-like...even has the signature screaming guitar at about 1:45
there's also faint vocals starting at about 1:06...very subtle, almost subliminal ....I can only hear them with headphones on though
