They claim that the new album will be released on April 4th. I don't know how reliable this is, of course.

Good to hear something - by the way, did anyone buy a signed Lateralus vinyl today? The toolarmy website was running slower than usual so i'm guessing there were a few interested shoppers... otherwise, I can't wait until April for the new album...

anyone that isnt seeing the movie (should only take a second to load on broadband), click the settings tab under the video and try clicking windows media player or realplayer. i tried realplayer first and it worked. if it still doesnt work, the only good news out of it someone already quoted above.

if this did come from a recent interview (as in Tool doing promos), then we should see more news to come very soon.

Relavent to the new album: "Tool is set to release their still untitled album on April 4th according to a record label release schedule. While there is no working title available at press time, the effort will be the band's first since 2001's Lateralus."

The Danny Carey interview was stated to be from last year and has nothing to do with the new material. The video itself is mostly of Prison Sex.

I don't know what RooTV is but the other information (ie news) on the site is current so hopefully this is accurate information.

all the video said was that a record released a list of releases coming out in 2006 and new tool is supposedly coming out on april 4th 2006, thats all it said and the thing about danny careys voice is he talks about why tool is still together thats it

and to make it load open it in IE not firefox if thats what you use

Actually, they lied about that. The voice clip with Danny talking was sliced from a 2001 Lateralus interview.

Two vinyls. That's how I've always seen it referenced.

Edit: Seems it IS a double album, though, but double LP generally refers to vinyls from what I've seen.

Guess LP is only for vinyl. Seems odd that you can say EP refering to a CD or a vinyl, but LP only for the vinyl.

And what the fuck ever. RHCP is good. By the Way was a great album, even if it was different from their older stuff.

well if its still untitle... do you think the cds are already in print? but they just havent released the title to the record company... or are they still directing the artwork and name?

how long would you suspose it takes for an album to be printed from start to finish... and how long would it take for supplies to be built up, etc.

You mean like maybe they manufacture the CDs, then when the first run is done, the cut off all pruduction on the disks, then make the artwork?

That would be an interesting idea. Any leak would be untitled. That would be rather difficult to put it all together though. I would guess that art and CDs are printed at the same time for assembly reasons.

And also, it's pretty much a definite case that the CD release date will be a Tuesday. Tool are from the USA. Volcano is in the USA. Why should it be otherwise?
