I had a dream last night
Or was it a glimpse of reality?
I was the hawk
I care not but to hunt
I felt no guilt in killing
I am the hunter
I was the rabbit
I care not but to run
Run with the wind, run through the grass
Run through the snow
I see the wild cat looking for me
No pain, no shame
Just another circle of live
I was the hunter
I was the prey
I am a man now
And I stand alone beholding creation

you sum up the human question nicely, with comparing it to animals it makes our lives seem so misguided yet we have a gift/burden to bear unlike the animals... at least i think so or perhaps the animals have the burden/gift as well they just understand how to bear it...
