So, I sent him a message (via myspace) and I bitched about the information blackout and asked if he could give me at least some kind of information about the cd and dvd.It took a couple of weeks, but after that he sent me a reply. I don't know, it seems like he is tring to fuck with me and Ijust have to wait for the release like everyonr else but I thought this is kinda puzzling so I want to know what you think of this.

His reply:

There will be an announcement. I can't tell you that much. Meanwhile, think about this:

2, 23, 235, 2357, 235711

"Among their other accomplishments, the ancient Mayas invented a calendar of remarkable accuracy and complexity. At right is the ancient Mayan Pyramid Chichen Itza, Yucatan, Mexico. The Pyramid of Kukulkan at Chichén Itzá, constructed circa 1050 was built during the late Mayan period, when Toltecs from Tula became politically powerful. The pyramid was used as a calendar: four stairways, each with 91 steps and a platform at the top, making a total of 365, equivalent to the number of days in a calendar year. "

1, 13, 135, 1357, 13579

"In Neo-platonism "mysticism" came to be associated with secrecy of any kind."

1, 18, 1827, 182764

"Top row, second one from the left. Elvis, Hitler and Jesus didn't make it though. Looks like their hearts weren't that lonely."

2, 24, 246, 2468, 246810

Adam

I think this is total bullahit.

Thats interesting that adam references the mayans because in their number system a dot represented the number 1 and a bar represented the number 5. Maybe it has something to do with that thing we though was morse code from a couple of months back.

Or maybe...

By analising the series you get this:

The first one, the terms are getted by the last number plus 2, the first number. In the last one (11), he haded 4.So if we continued the following number would be 23571115.
Let us mesmorize 15.

The second one is easy, the last number is aquired but addind the last number with the first number (1) plus 1. The following number would 1357911.
Mesmorize 11.

Maybe this is the date for the DVD, 15/11/05.The year comes if you add the 4 of the first serie with the 1 of the last one.

The third serie is trick, i'm not sure with, all this thinking id being made instantly, so i'm not kinda thinking a lot about that.

The last one is also a easy one, it's the pairs serie: 2 4 6 8 10 12.
Maybe 12 will be the month of the CD, the day is said in the 3º serie.

The text is crap.

Agree, or i'm going to deep?

If the idea is to find the next number in the four sequences, I think you get 13, 11, 125 (or 5 cubed) and 12. Let me explain:

The first sequence is 2, 23, 235, 2357, 235711.

These are the prime numbers next to each other i.e. 2 then 3 then 5 then 7 then 11. The next prime number is 13. So the first sequence would be 2, 23, 235, 2357, 235711, 23571113 etc.

So the first number is 13.

The second sequence is 1, 13, 135, 1357, 13579.

This is just the odd numbers next to each other so the next number in the sequence would be 1357911.

So the second number is 11.

The third sequence is 1, 18, 1827, 182764.

This is harder to explain but it is the cubes next to each other ie 1-cubed then 2-cubed (=8) then 3-cubed (=27) then 4-cubed (=64) all next to each other as in 1 then 18 then 1827 then 182764 so you get 1, 18, 1827, 182764. The next cubed number is 5-cubed (=125) so the sequence would be 1, 18, 1827, 182764, 182764125 etc.

So the third number is 125, or 5 cubed.

The fourth sequence is 2, 24, 246, 2468, 246810.

So the next even number is 12.

So the fourth number is 12.

Overall from the four sequences, you get:

13
11
125 (=5 cubed)
12

Maybe this represents 13/11/05 or something? Interpret it however you like. That's just what i get from looking at the numbers etc.

Hope this helped...

Sorry, I forgot to mention in my post above about the numbers etc. that i've written the date 13/11/05 as to mean November 13th, 2005. Sorry if confused anyone - it's just that Australians usually put the day first, then month, then year.

As for the 12, I don't know what this means exactly. If you received the info from Adam on November 1st, it could mean that you have to wait 12 more days etc.

Again, interpret it how you want...

Ok, I think ive figured something out... Sgt. Peppers lonely hearts club was released on the 1st of june 1967... Perhaps the new Tool album will be out on the 1st of june next year... Its on a thursday though... I really dont wanna wait that long.

[edit] Wikipedia: Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band is an album by the British band The Beatles. It is often cited as the most influential rock album of all time by prominent critics and publications, including Rolling Stone and is among the albums that have been considered the greatest ever. It was recorded by The Beatles over a 129-day period beginning on December 6, 1966. The album was released on June 1, 1967 in the United Kingdom and on June 2, 1967 in the United States.

Perhaps the 129 day recording period could be a hint also

Albums get released everyday of the year, fuck the Tuesday bullshit.

In January 2001, the rumor mill surrounding the band gained new life when Tool announced their new album, Systema Encéphale. Only one month later, they revealed that it was actually titled Lateralus and that Systema had been a ruse, much to the dismay of music magazines and commercial websites who had committed headlong to the fake title.

So it was announced in Jan, confirmed by Feb and released in May. That's 5 months, so if Tool were to announce anything it will still be a long wait, unless they have planned for a shorter announcement to release day.

Blair has said they are doing this album in even more secrecy than usual (which means they probably won't announce 5 months early again). If you want my honest opinion, I bet we won't know the album title/tracks/info until maybe 6 weeks before its release.

Also, Danny said it will be out early in 2006. I don't see June being 'early'. I'm guessing it will be out in January/February.

Most bands wouldn't record an album in early fall of one year and then wait almost another year to release it. If you do that these days, you are just asking for someone to get a hold of it and throw it on the internet 2 months early.

I'm guessing we will know the info by the end of the year, with a release in February.

I hope so too that it's not as long of a wait than Lateralus was, the 5 months that is, between an official announcement to release day. I hope it's way shorter but how ever long it is I'm sure it will be worth it. 2, 23, 235, 2357, 235711

where's the 9? and why is there a 2?

2-3-5-7-11

I don't see the 13 being correct.

prime numbers

3*3 = 9, so its not prime
2 is a prime number, its only factors are 1 and itself (2)

the next prime number after 11 is 13, hes right.

Instead of writting the sequences in line, I'm writting them on a stairway way... hoping to perceive something else...

Hey you guys who solved those number thingies! Are those dates right? I mean, can you actually get them out of those numbers?

My take on this riddle:

I don't know anything about those numbers.

The first part (Mayans) tells us how to solve the release date.

Second part (mysticism) tells us that this album is kept under tight wraps and will be announced suddenly and out of nowhere and before that there won't be any real news hinting at it's release date.

The third part tells us that it will be a classic, just like Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.

Now if I had just those numbers decoded.
