The surface meaning of this song is simple...Good things come to those who waited for this Tool album to come out. The Band is reflecting on how they have stuck together through-out the years and on how they have grown together patiently and have received great rewards becasue of it. They continue to reap the benefits of sticking it through the bad times that they ran into and ultimatley rejoicing that finally they have come together to create their most mature album to date....All this surface meaning in turn creates many deeper meanings which you (the listener) can interpet in many aspects of life...This is the way all songs by TOOL are written - with a surface meaning and a deeper meaning. I have to agree with you here, especially on this song. There are already so many interpretations on this song. I think in this case, and several others, Tool wrote the song to provide a basic meaning for themselves, but with words that are able to be transposed into other situations. This way the listeners, can interpret them to fit into their own lives. And inspire us in many different ways.
