Do you guys think that the Tool fans who don't spend their lives on Tool forums are as angry about not getting album details as everybody here? I think we're fueling our own impatience by constantly trying to be the best at declaring how much the band "sucks". We're watching the kettle too closely. 1st quarter 2006 is never going to come at this rate.

I haven't met many other Tool fans outside this board, but there has to be people off of here that are angry about not getting any album details. Any fan would be. But I do think some of the people here take it a bit too far...

my cousin was the first one who mentioned tool to me, and she lives in an apartment and works at a bar. she cant afford a computer or anything and drives a beat up old car(wich she listins to lateralus in everyday on her way to work)

i dont think shes quite as pissed about it as people who can blog about it in their mom's basements on nice DELL flatscreens and have nothing better to worry about.

I think once I get it, I'm gonna be like... wtf? New Tool? That's not supposed to happen yet.

Haha... no kidding. I'm going to be confused and probably forget about buying it for a week because I'll assume it should have taken longer

theyve got you hanging on their every move.
its kind of entertaining watching it unravel from the sidelines as a fan who doesnt give a shit when it comes out as long as it does.
and as far as knowing release dates and updates and what theyre doing at the particular moment... whats the point? so you can make paper chains and count the days? itll be out before you know it and even before then on P2P.
just join a papa roach forum or something, wieners. (if there is a papa roach forum(god i cant imagine what that'd be like))

You need to open up a dictionary and find out how to spell "whiner". I italicized the "e" to signify it was to be omitted.

But, the OP probably meant "wiener" for all I know, but in the context it seemed like he meant "whiner" instead.

To bring this thread back on track... yes I do think people worry too much about finding new info on the album. Some of these people are the same to claim that the band is screwing with them, but I've noticed that the fans do a pretty good job doing that by themselves.

I have quite a few Tool fans who aren't on the boards. They really dont seem to mind much.

A good example is this girl who used to play drums for a Tool cover-band, who did the local pub circuit. So she's a pretty big fan. She doesn't care at all because she loves lots of bands and makes music herself in other bands. She also has a job and is at university.

I think, if you spend time actually concentrating on waiting for the album to come, ... it will feel like longer. If you keep yourself busy, it will come sooner.

While Tool are perhaps my favourite bands, I am also discovering other fantastic bands who have LOADS of back material that I haven't explored - like Spock's Beard, Porcupine Tree and Dream Theater. I keep being told that King Crimson are good so I got a King Crimson CD and I quite like that. And I'm going to see guitarist Steve Vai on the tour of his new album.

Ok so you didnt want to read my life story but maybe if you thought about OTHER THINGS, you wouldn't be so angry.

But ive got to admit CANNNT WAIIT till the album :-)... im just as weak as y'all.

I'm a VERY picky music guy...I like a very small amount of bands.

1) Tool
2) Rage Against The Machine
3) Pink Floyd
4) A Perfect Circle
5) Radiohead

I have been through all of these bands CDs, and now I'm bored.

im not mad there is no news about when the album will come out. id rather not know, and it be the greatest album ever, than know everything about it, and be let down that it wasnt as good as they said.
