It would seem smart to put a CD out before Christmas. wouldn't that sell a lot of copies.
And Tool is very smart about making money. Although, I don't think they care.

In the past they've admitted to being sure that their albums aren't released too close to christmas... too many sales problems around christmas that are easily avoidable by setting an earlier or later date... of course this is only logical if you have as perverted a fanbase as TOOL.

i fully support the logic behind having the day come before the month. you already should know what month it is.

I fully support the logic behind knowing the month first. That way you know which section of the year before you know precisely which day. If you try to organize dd/mm/yyyy in order, it's gonna fuck up really bad since all the 01s will be grouped and so on.

since maynard probably lives in america, or at last i think he does, that would imply that 1/03/06 is actually january 3rd. and since january 3rd is a tuesday, and thats the day cds come out in america, i could bet my money, thats the actual date its coming out. and since march 1st is a friday, i dont think it will be released in march.

i mean what would they be waiting for, they're already done arent they? its only october

I'd make my parents buy it for me, along with a bunch of other things. I don't think christmas is gift giving from just the parents, many people would buy it for friends and such. But, after christmas is good too, everyone just got a check/money from grandparents or aunts and uncles, and all of that money would go for the new CD.
